Commercial Cleaning Services in Brooklyn
Brooklyn is Likti's home borough and where most of our work is. It is also the borough where commercial cleaning is least like the textbook version of the job — far more of the commercial space here is converted rather than purpose-built, and a cleaning plan written for a modern office park does not survive contact with a hundred-year-old building.
Independent restaurants, cafes, bars, studios, gyms and small commercial units make up most of the landscape, and they tend to have two things in common: tight operating margins and no in-house facilities manager. That means the cleaning has to be right without anyone standing over it, and it has to happen in the hours the business is closed.
Cleaning in Brooklyn: what is actually different
The practical constraints that shape a schedule here.
Converted and pre-war buildings
A great deal of Brooklyn commercial space started life as something else — industrial floors in Gowanus and Sunset Park, ground-floor retail under pre-war residential, warehouse conversions in DUMBO and Bushwick. That means uneven original floors, older tile and grout that has never been sealed, exposed structure that collects dust, and back-of-house areas laid out around where the walls happened to be. Scope has to be written for the building in front of you.
Walk-ups and no service access
Many smaller Brooklyn units have no freight elevator, no loading bay and no back door. Equipment and supplies come through the front, which affects what can realistically be brought on site and how long a job takes. We check this at the walkthrough rather than discovering it on the first night.
Late trading, early opening
Bars in Williamsburg and Bushwick close late and cafes in Park Slope and Fort Greene open early, which can leave a very short window between the two. Where the gap is genuinely tight we say so and plan the heavy work into the days that have room for it, rather than promising a turnaround that would mean rushing it.
Street parking and load-in
Alternate-side rules and metered commercial strips shape when a van can actually be parked near the door. It is a small thing that decides whether a scheduled clean starts on time, so it is worth agreeing up front.

How it works
From first enquiry to a clean that runs itself
Step 1: Tell us about the space
Send the basics through the quote form — business type, rough size, location, how often. Two minutes.
Step 2: We walk the site
We visit at a time that suits you and walk every area you want covered. Scope gets decided here.
Step 3: You get a written scope and price
A task list with a frequency against each item, and the price for it. Nothing hidden in the middle.
Step 4: We agree access and scheduling
Keys, codes, lockbox or doorman arrangements confirmed in writing, along with our hours on site.
Step 5: The work runs to the schedule
Cleaning runs to the agreed list. Detail work rotates. Any change to scope is raised with you first.
FAQ
Cleaning in Brooklyn — common questions
Which parts of Brooklyn do you cover?
The whole borough. Most of our work is in the commercial strips and converted industrial space across north and central Brooklyn, but coverage is not limited to particular neighbourhoods — send the address on the quote form and we will confirm it.
Do you work with small independent businesses?
Yes, and most Brooklyn commercial premises are exactly that. A single cafe or a one-room studio gets the same written scope as a larger site; the list is just shorter. There is no minimum size that makes a walkthrough not worth doing.
Can you clean a space in an older building?
Yes — most of Brooklyn is older buildings. What matters is that the scope is written for the building rather than copied from a template: unsealed grout, original floors and awkward back-of-house layouts all need to be looked at before anyone quotes on them.
