Tile & Grout Cleaning in Brooklyn & NYC

Restorative cleaning for tiled floors and walls where mopping no longer works.

Grout is porous. Once it has absorbed enough grease, dirt or mop water, routine cleaning stops making a visible difference and the floor looks dirty however often it is mopped. Kitchens, washrooms and entryways are where this shows first.

Tile and grout cleaning is a restorative treatment rather than a maintenance task. It is usually booked as part of a deep clean, or on its own when a floor has reached the point where normal cleaning is not recovering it.

What is included

A typical scope. Yours is agreed at the walkthrough and written down.

  • Assessment of tile type and grout condition before any treatment
  • Targeted treatment of grout lines
  • Tile surface cleaning and residue removal
  • Edges, thresholds and floor-wall junctions
  • Tiled wall surfaces in kitchens and washrooms

Worth knowing

  • Results depend on tile type, grout condition and how long the build-up has been there. We tell you what to expect before starting rather than afterwards.

Five steps. No surprises in the middle of them.

  2. Step 2: We walk the site

We visit at a time that suits you and walk every area you want covered. Scope gets decided here.

  3. Step 3: You get a written scope and price

  4. Step 4: We agree access and scheduling

Keys, codes, lockbox or doorman arrangements confirmed in writing, along with our hours on site.

  5. Step 5: The work runs to the schedule

Cleaning runs to the agreed list. Detail work rotates. Any change to scope is raised with you first.

FAQ

Tile and grout cleaning — common questions

If yours is not here, ask us on the quote form and we will answer it before you commit to anything.
Why does our tiled floor still look dirty after mopping?

Because grout is porous. Once it has absorbed enough grease, dirt or dirty mop water, the colour you are seeing is in the grout rather than on it, and mopping cannot reach it. Kitchens, washrooms and entryways hit this point first. At that stage the floor needs restorative treatment rather than more frequent cleaning.

Will the grout go back to its original colour?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on the tile type, the grout condition, whether it was ever sealed, and how long the build-up has been there. We assess the floor before starting and tell you what to expect — including when the honest answer is that a section will improve but not return to new.

Is this part of a deep clean or separate?

Either. It is often booked as part of a deep clean, and on its own when a floor has reached the point where routine cleaning is not recovering it. It can also be built into a recurring agreement on a long rotation.
